March Favorites

I realize we are a week into April already, but for the sake of consistency, here were Jack and my favorite things for the month of March.

Jack's Favorites...

Without a doubt, Jack's absolute favorite "toy" this month has been his books. All of them. He will individually take each and every book off of his shelf, quickly flip through it and move onto the next. He will do this until his shelf is completely empty. I often find him in is room, sitting on his glider, paging through a book. Not only do I find this absolutely adorable, but it is one hobby that I cannot complain about. Keep reading Jack!

Here were some of his top picks from last month...

Something else that Jack loved in March was his tent. We got it from Ikea last year for around $20. It has held up really well, considering how rough Jack is with it and how often it gets used. His favorite thing to do is to dive into the beanbag that's inside of it. He especially enjoys the tent if Matt or myself are in there with him. I love that it has all the primary colors on it. A lot of time, we will simply lie down on our backs and I will ask him to point the colors out.

My Favorites...

1. "Cherries in the Snow" by Revlon. This is the perfect "bold" lip for my fair skin. I have a hard time finding lipsticks that look good with both my complexion and hair color, so I am happy to have discovered this gem!

2. Kind Healthy Grains Granola Bars. These are so delicious and I never feel guilty after eating one. It's hard to find a granola bar that isn't packed full of unnecessary ingredients that may in time, cause harm to our bodies. They are bit on the expensive side, but a lot of time my grocery store has 2 for $7, which isn't bad, considering the quality of the product.
3. The "Wet" Brush. If you are reading this, more than likely you know that I have extremely thick hair. So thick that whenever I get a haircut I have to block out 2 sessions and sometimes it even takes longer than that. The last couple people who have cut my hair have said it's the thickest they've ever worked on. Up until I found this product, no matter what conditioner I was using, I had the most difficult time getting all the snarls out of my hair after a shower. It was so painful and time consuming to brush through my thick, unruly mane. Now, after using The "Wet" Brush for over a month, I would never use anything else. I cannot even describe how easy, quick and painless it is to brush through my hair now. I  LOVE THIS!

4. Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation. If you have young children, then you already know what an task it can be to get ready in the morning. This product has literally cut my "getting ready" time in half. It covers all of my millions of imperfections and redness on my face instantly, while still looking very natural. There is nothing worse than a cakey, heavy foundation, especially for everyday use.
5. Organic Surge Overnight Sensation Night Cream. In an effort to find more natural products for my face, without breaking the bank, I discovered that Marshalls has a large variety of natural based skin products, for really great prices. In fact, I think I paid under $10 for this huge tub, which is just as much as I would pay for a lower quality, high in chemical product at Target. I cannot stand when face products have an overwhelming fragrance to them and this one does not, which is one of the reasons why I love it. It also makes my normally dull looking skin look more alive and radiant and the longer I use it, it will only continue to improve.
