Spring Fever

5 Reasons Why I am So Ready for Spring. . .

1. I am looking forward to get back into our daily walk routine. Being able to go on walks outside is beneficial in so many ways. The most obvious being the fact that it provides a much needed change  if scenery for both Jack and myself.

2. I am excited to turn off the heat, open some windows and let the fresh air in. There is something so nostalgic for me about the smell of spring. It brings me back to my childhood days, where I would be outside for countless hours, riding the four wheeler through the mud, host my own cooking show from our tree fort by the pond, where my signature dish was Dandelion Mud Pie, and secretly taking in stray kittens and feeding them cans of tuna from the house. Those were the days. I only hope Jack spends as much time outside as I did as a child, as those are some of my fondest memories.

3. Not having to put winter gear on. I swear we spend more time getting ready to go outside, than the actual amount of time that we are out there for.

4. Being able to play out in the yard, without the fear of Jack or myself stepping in dog poop. I think the dogs are excited for this too, as they are running out of places to shit.

5. Getting to play in the AWESOME sand box that Matt built for Jack last year. I can only imagine how much more fun it will be this year, now that Jack is a little older.

No words can describe this photo.

Jack started peeling his own stickers for the first time today. This is exciting because now this can be more of an independent activity for him.
